Limits on Stem-Cell Research Re-emerge as a Political Issue

Embryonic stem cell studies are contorversial because they involve the destruction of human embryos. Mrs. Reagan, whose husband, former President Ronald Reagan, suffers from Alheimers disease, had made her support for the research know but had never spoken publicly about it.

I think it's sweet and all that she supports it on his behalf, and its probablly really upsetting to her that his disease is getting worse as time goes on, but I do not believe in stem cell research. A lot of people say "If it has a heartbeat, its a baby." But most of the research is in the early stages before the heartbeat begins. Reguardless, the only reason you should fertilize an egg is to create a child.
